Meet Dr. Deborah Ann. Wilcox, PhD. MPA

President/ CEO

Every organization needs a process to manage change, not just a prescription for change, but also to create opportunities for incorporating sustainable innovation.

For over 30 years, Dr. Deborah Ann Wilcox, PhD, MPA, has worked with organizations across industries to help them develop sustainable, engaged, and culturally competent workplace practices. Dr. Wilcox has provided consultation and professional workplace education and training services with over 100 organizations within multiple sectors, facilitated numerous national conference workshops, and applied research projects.

As a Process Organization Development Consultant and Educator, she has partnered and provided services with mental health systems, advocacy and nonprofit organizations, government entities, and educational institutions to support their efforts in strategic planning, leadership development, inclusiveness, and workforce wellness.

Dr. Wilcox is also an Associate Professor, teaching courses in Counseling and Psychology, and is deeply involved in applied community-based Peer Support Mental Health and Wellness initiatives. Her Deliberative Organizational Development™ consultation approach is built on years of applied practice research, working with organizations to develop healthier workplace cultures, peer support systems, and strategic initiatives.

She has received multiple awards and recognitions for her work in applied Mental Health Wellness and Peer Support Advocacy, and has generated cultural shifts in service delivery within agencies and hospitals. Recognitions include The Alliance for Rights and Recovery Board of Directors, Quincy Boykin Memorial Award for her contributions to mental health recovery, empowerment, and integration of the full diversity of all people with mental health and trauma-related challenges.

Additionally, Dr. Wilcox was also awarded the Multicultural Award of Distinction from the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (PRA), which recognized her outstanding contribution to the field of Multicultural Competency in the practice of Psychiatric Rehabilitation.

Her passion lies in organizations embracing and developing their own community of best practice expertise, guiding them to listen deeply, collaborate effectively, and create sustaining and lasting transformations from within and with their external constituents.
